Fan Designs

MAS provides a variety of fan designs.  The majority of these are induced draft, forced draft, high temperature and process air fans, both SWSI and DWDI in sizes between 8" and 150" diameter.  Blade designs available are a full range of radial, radial tip, airfoil, backward curve, backward inclined, forward curve and axial.  All MAS fan designs have been tested in accordance with AMCA guidelines.  Even though we are a custom fan company, we offer several standard fan lines including an Industrial Exhauster (IE), Pressure Blower (PB), Airfoil/Backward Curve and Backward Inclined.  The reason for offering standard line fans is that many times the so called standard fan becomes a custom requirement because a special size is needed, alloy construction, high temperature requirements, non-catalog performance, DWDI, inlet boxes, gas tight construction, to name a few options.  In short, if it is feasible, then we will engineer a fan design to match the customers requirement.

 

Damper Designs

MAS manufactures in-house all volume control dampers.  Radial Inlet (vortex) dampers and parallel blade louvered inlet box dampers are both used for volume control.  Parallel blade and opposed blade outlet dampers are available to fit the fan outlet or to be used in customer ductwork as a system damper.  Butterfly dampers and guillotine dampers are also available.  Dampers can be designed for low leakage, high temperature, corrosive, and dirty environments.

 

Sound Attenuating Devices

MAS can supply silencers, blankets or enclosures for sound attenuating purpose.  We manufacture our own enclosures and are able to custom fit the size of enclosure to the installation.  A variety of filters designs are available that provide attenuation and insure clean air supply to the fan.

 

Special Applications

As a custom fan manufacturer, MAS can provide equipment other than just the fan, although we try to stay with components related to the fan.  For example, MAS supplies fans mounted within special tanks that become part of a system, fans mounted on special platforms to fit into the system and ductwork connections to fans.

 

Drives & Motors

MAS can provide a wide variety of drives including direct mounted arr.#4, V-belt drives (both constant speed and adjustable speed), direct coupled and inverter duty drives.   Any type of coupling is available with MAS  fans.  We work with every major motor manufacturer and can provide a motor that meets any specification.
